MARCH AROUND THE WORLD

ITINERARY

Start: Pt. Loma National Cemetery, San Diego, CA. Then, east through Phoenix, Denver, Iowa (home state) Chicago area, Washington D.C. and New York. Fly to London, east again through Paris Munich, Vienna, Moscow, China, and Japan. Fly back to Los Angeles for final 100 mile March to San Diego. Captain Jones will be wearing his actual Vietnam jungle suit and carrying an American flag previously used to cross Iowa, Minnesota, Oregon, and Washington.

Captain America Jones has deliberately not sought corporate sponsorship for his March Around The World, preferring instead to rely on the traditional generosity of the American public for support.

Naturally as he passes through your area, any help in the way of food, beverage, lodging or small cash contribution would be very much appreciated. In return for your kindness the Captain would be happy to answer any questions concerning not only this March, but any of his 100 other records, feats or adventures.

For those making a $20 or more donation, he will be including your name and hometown in his next book which will be completed at the end of this March — the 101st adventure. You will also receive a complimentary autographed copy of the book mailed to your address. Your cash, checks, or money orders should be sent to his daughter at the following address. WHAT NOW

Alan "Captain America" Jones passed away in 1990. At that time I was looking forward to our father-daughter effort of promoting his March Around the World and my role as treasurer. Although the March was never realized, I feel that the book, 101 Adventures, is the catalyst I can use to keep the spirit of Captain America alive. Although your contribution for the book will no longer be supporting the March Around the World, it will support the making of the documentary about the spirit of Captain America Jones.
